Bargersville Main Street

Over the last 10 years, Bargersville has doubled in size. With the expansion of I69, the development of Kephart Park, and the multitude of projects the Town is undergoing, there has never been a better time to live, work, and play in Bargersville.

Bargersville Main Street is a non-profit organization that commits itself to highlighting and improving the community’s features. We value the small-town charm, agricultural roots, and community atmosphere for which Bargersville is known.  Our organization is committed to planning even more events and amenities that a growing population expects. We promote a quality of life, making Bargersville a wonderful place not just to work and visit, but also to live. The future has never been BRIGHTER than now!

Meet the Team

  • John Baer

    PRESIDENT

A southside native, John spent his formative years growing up in Perry Township and then Nineveh, IN where he was raised with an appreciation for a slower paced way-of-life. John, his wife Kira, and four beautiful daughters have called Bargersville home after moving from Greenwood in search of a more rural setting to raise their family just over six years ago. They have felt immediately embraced and connected since their move, and love being a part of such an interconnected community. John is a Professional Engineer working in aviation and brings that same attention to detail and planning to his position as President of Bargersville Main Street. He has been impressed with the Town of Bargersville’s desire to revitalize the downtown district and its dedication to thoughtfully planned growth. John is very excited to be a part of an organization that promotes community and fellowship in the downtown with events like our Farmers Market, summer concerts, and Cars & Coffee. He also loves seeing the true heart and desire to serve others shown by community members that are excited to get involved and volunteer for the various activities and events put on throughout the year by Bargersville Main Street. John reflects that same service to his community, seeing it as a way to give back and to glorify God.

  • Whitney Habig

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Growing up in a small agricultural town, Whitney appreciates the sense of community shared by those who call Bargersville home. She and her husband have lovingly restored the farmhouse where they are raising their three children. Whitney is also a small business owner of Rooted Designs and Company, creating handmade goods and providing home styling services. You may have seen her handmade goods at local farmers markets and festivals. Whitney joined Bargersville Main Street in 2021 as a board member. Her enthusiasm for making connections and bringing together the community was put to good use managing our Bargersville Farmers Market and the organizations social media. Due to her passion for the organization, Whitney was hired as the Executive Director of Bargersville Main Street in 2024. She continues to be a catalyst for moving the organization forward to benefit the Main Street district and local community.
